Microsoft is pushing out a new Chromium Based Edge browser with the Windows update. This update titled “Microsoft Edge Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4567409)” is offered for all users running Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 home, professional, Ultimate, Starter or Core editions. Microsoft addresses 123 CVEs, including CVE-2020-1350, a wormable remote code execution vulnerability in Windows DNS Server dubbed “SIGRed.” For the fifth month in a row, Microsoft has patched over 100 CVEs, addressing 123 CVEs in the July 2020 Patch Tuesday release. Included this month is a highly critical remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in Windows DNS Server (CVE-2020-1350).
[German]Microsoft has released the update KB4567409, which installs the new Edge Browser, which is then automatically updated. The update is available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

The new Chromium Edge Browser is available as a download since mid-January 2020 for various Windows versions and other operating systems (see Microsoft Chromium-Edge released). At the beginning of June 2020, Microsoft started to deliver the new Chromium Edge browser for various Windows 10 versions. I had the details in the blog post Windows 10: Chromium Edge are rolled out to user.
Edge for Windows 7/8.1
Now Microsoft is taking the next step, as the colleagues reported here. Microsoft provide update KB4567409 for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. In the support article of 17 June 2020 it says
Microsoft has released a new Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge. This new version provides best in class compatibility with extensions and websites. Additionally, this new version provides great support for the latest rendering capabilities, modern web applications, and powerful developer tools across all supported OS platforms.
So it is the new Chromium Edge browser for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 and the corresponding server versions. The update comes via Windows Update, as you can read in the KB article. However, Windows 7 SP1 requires an ESU license, as the prerequisites explain.
Update My Browser Windows 7
I have not seen the update on my Windows 7 SP1 system with an ESU license. But it doesn’t offer updates automatically (doesn’t work)-I have to download and install them manually. For Windows 8.1, which is still in support, the update KB4567409 should also be available via Windows Update.
I haven’t found a download address at Microsoft in the Update Catalog or a KB article yet. But the colleagues from deskmodder.de have provided the download addresses here. Martin Geuß mentions here that the update explicitly does not apply to enterprise devices. Windows 7 versions Starter, Home, Ultimate or Professional and Windows 8.1 (Home, Professional, Ultimate, Starter, or Core Edition) are supported.
After the installation a reboot is required. The new Microsoft Edge plugs into the taskbar and adds a shortcut to the desktop. If the current version of Microsoft Edge already has a shortcut, it is replaced. The new Microsoft Edge does not replace Internet Explorer and this update will not change the default browser.
